When you make an ability check that you are not proficient in, you can choose to add your proficiency bonus to that ability check. You regain all expended uses of this ability after a long rest.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to half your proficiency modifier, rounded down. This increases to 2d10 force damage at 17th level. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 force damage. You can use your bonus action to cast an extra beam of Eldritch Blast.
